Il Giardino Armonico, one of the leading ensembles in historically informed performance, appears under the direction of Giovanni Antonini in the magnificent Stiftskirche Engelszell for a concert devoted to the splendour of Venetian Baroque music.
The programme, titled Vivaldi, Venice, Enchantment, evokes the legendary “angel music” of Venice and the celebrated Ospedale concerts for which Antonio Vivaldi composed many of his works. Alongside music by Vivaldi, the evening includes works by Baldassarre Galuppi, Tomaso Albinoni and other Venetian masters of the eighteenth century.
