Concert No. 12 E-Dur RV 265
Although today Antonio Vivaldi is of course the Four Feaths of the year, in the 18th century, the collection of L’estro armonico became famous as one of the most influential in instrumental music of the time. Published in 1711, the series of 12 concerts was highly appreciated, and the composer from the place became an important figure on the international stage. The very apt title of the work also testifies to the fact that the creator was aware of the importance of this work. Without a doubt, we are dealing with a brilliant “influence” of Vivaldi.
This is Vivaldi at its best: exuberant and brilliant, reaching for complex cantilles, written with a wonderful sense of pure joy of music, spontaneity, a sense of mutual play and a team game. The tireless and increasing energy of these concerts in the right interpretation resembles the morning sun wandering around the room – and just such a reading can be expected from Il Giardino Armonico and Isabelle Faust as a soloist.

Duration of the concert (including the break): approx. 120 minutes
